The issue with a course marketplace will be a cold start issue (Andrew Chen a16z writes a lot about it)
Basically 1 there are lots of course market places (both direct and indirect) including coursera, udemy, udacity, patreon, YouTube, masterclass.
So your dilemma is going to be how to attract course buyers (customers) – which is paradoxical since you need customers to get courses creators on board – resulting in a chicken and egg dilemma
Course creators will only be interested if there are enough customer; customers will only be interested if there enough courses.
In general you want to start on the supply-side of the marketplace which really comes from determining who receives payment, I’m guessing it’ll be the course creators. So you got to figure out a way to get lots of course creators to list and use your platform, without any condition of revenue until you have enough courses that you can attract customer to start paying.
