learn about management – there are lots of course on this in coursera

focus on getting the right data in a timely manner than can help you assess performance and flag problems

learn how to identify, grow and keep trusted talent

if you’re managing from afar, spreadsheets, data and control/security become key areas to be on top of.

like the other poster said, learn to delegate effectively.

also, learn to track accountability and responsibility – make sure you and your reports are clear what they are responsible for, and what numbers they will be held to account on, make sure that everyone is clear what number they influence.
