Metric per employee

Setting a metric on a per employee basis allows you to evaluate the return on talent, in other words a metric that allows us to assess how productive or efficient a business is.

Examples include – revenue per employee, gross profit per employee, or number of users per employee.

You can also apply this on a team basis e.g. sales per sales team, or on a position level, e.g. leads per BDR

These ratios don’t tell us if the results are good or bad, but that allow us to track the change over time or against comparables. Its more useful when you use it to determine a tend over time that you can then influence.
